Dr Adè van Heerden to join Racing. It’s A Rush at Turffontein
Miss South Africa 2017 – Dr Adè van Heerden will be heading down to Turffontein Racecourse on Saturday, 21st April for The Royal Race Day.
Adé (who had to hang up her stethoscope for ball gowns and high heels) was a medical doctor and lieutenant at Military 2 Hospital in Cape Town before taking up her title as Miss South Africa. She is no stranger to the racecourse and this time joins us in a far more relaxed atmosphere to just enjoy the Sport of Kings (and Queens) in the Racing. It’s a Rush Member’s Lounge. Of course, the public will absolutely love seeing her up close and in the parade when she makes her presentation.
Amongst the spectacular day of racing, which includes the Grade 1 HSH Princess Charlene Empress Club Stakes, a best dressed couple competition will take place for patrons in the Member’s Lounge. The lucky couple will win a prize, sponsored by Sun International for a 2 night stay at the amazing Sun City resort.
Entrance to the lounge is R200 per head, a strict dress code of top hats and tails will apply for gents, and hats or fascinators for the ladies.
