Sun Met set to sizzle as top SA designer ups the glamour stakes

South Africa’s oldest horse race and Cape Town’s most anticipated social event makes its way to Kenilworth Racecourse on Saturday 28 January 2017. The Sun Met celebrated with Mumm is bringing back a premium race experience full of glamour and entertainment reminiscent of bygone eras.

It is because of this rich heritage and esteemed legacy that Sun International earlier announced the theme for the 2017 Sun Met as ‘Decades of Glamour’.  The theme aims to inspire racegoers by referencing different fashion eras from the 1920’s to 2000’s. Era’s that  epitomised glamour, elegance and self expression in celebration of the events’ proud legacy.

The idea is to allow the public to pick their favourite fashion decade, source their outfits with their friends and enhance their overall experience of The Sun Met celebrated with Mumm. With this in mind Sun International is proud to announce the internationally acclaimed Casper Bosman as their official designer for selected celebrity race day outfits.

As Yves Saint Laurent once said, “fashions fade, style is eternal.” The prodigiously talented Casper Bosman founder of Casper Designer Wear is a man of true style. His designs will transport you to a time of glamour and elegance whilst remaining completely contemporary. Having created show-stopping outfits for celebrities such as Melinda Bam, Miss World Rolene Strauss, Tatum Keshwar, Christina Storm and Lorna Maseko his designer star is burning bright.

Casper Bosman said: “I’m excited to partner with Sun international in producing a showcase of extraordinary fashion pieces for the ‘Decades of Glamour’ themed 2017 Sun Met.”

The style and glamour fireworks are certainly primed to explode at the 2017 Sun Met with Casper commanding the turf. So ladies choose your decade and motivate your man to research his outfit for what promises to be the most glamourous event of the year.

COO of Sun International, Rob Collins said: Sun International aims to ensure that the Sun Met is as unique as our hotels and resorts, where we aim to deliver lasting memories of, high quality experiences, filled with luxury and entertainment. Casper certainly fits the bill in this regard and we are certain his introduction will deliver on this promise for the Sun Met celebrated with Mumm.”

To further guide and inspire race-goers they can view some outifts selected by Casper that opitimize the theme as well as glamourous photographs of the current Miss South Africa finalists showcasing the decades at www.suninternational.com Sun Stories tab and then Lifestyle tab.
